I forgot to mention the other day that I'm working on a large farewell edition for trades with peepz at school. With all my love, a nest of Pomeranian puppies. There's also 'ol goat cat in the works if I can ever finish writing and making stuff for my installation. And looking for a job and apartment. SOON!

I'm on my second cup of coffee, clicking through fashion blergs on nymag. The Top 100 Fab looks, which readers poll in on, totally bore me though I'm not surprised. What's super neat is that you can browse various "details" which document some of the designer's accessories. But I'm not posting to give a running commentary / walking tour of the site. Wiksten is straight outta KC and seeing her BBW/midwesty stuff makes me want to start sewing again. Really bad. I was on a big gonna-sew-my-own-clothes-from-now-on kick over the summer but that never happened. I think maybe if we just tried to replicate my houndstooth jumper, that would be a good start.

so i am normally the fashion side of the brain when it comes to modern aesthetician but i love this artist from munich, christiane hoegner. it makes me want to make packages for everything like that... like litte ketchups.. or tiny urns that you can package your loved ones who have passed on and give them out to family.... not.
