LA: close to hell

I am loving living in LA but let me tell you it is torture right now! its 90 degrees everyday and I feel sad every time I look at my fall wears...

I've figured out how to enjoy fall and live here at the same time, here is my guide:

Plaid mini:

Accessorize with care (and non fabric items):

Go for feathers instead of fur (which is excruciating!):

And last but not least, wear big bags, not big coats:

Good luck not leaving sweat marks!

a rare day

here at modern aesthetician we try not to re-post or just plain rip off the other blogs of the world but i have to do it today. this lady is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. her blog is called the glamourai and it f-ing rocks!

her style is bangin'. she mixes couture with foreves 21 and vintage to make an outlandish inspiring look and i think she deserves our nod of approval, heck! maybe a head bang of approval... enjoy!

FOODICO

i just discovered the most amazing place to read articles about stuff i really care about that doesn't often get into the main stream media!

GOURMET: POLITICS OF THE PLATE

its amazing. i am always gobbling up anything i see on nytimes or cnn about food, FDA, organic politics and all. i think it is so interesting how organic certification process works and the back lash from farms that have been organic without the certifications (which cost a lot) since their inception. its crazy how there are farms posing as organic since the green movement has taken off and how much wiggle room the definition of "organic" gives certain farms.

crazy.

shut up right now.

i dream of being bi-coastal. and all things henrik. lest you forget, liv posted about him right here. unfortunately, his site isn't current and only showing s/s 08, but oak has a bunch of fall stuff to peruse. dude can sure do some nat-am and knitty pattern stuff, which reminds me that we need to tackle the knitting machine over xmas holidaze.

PS: i can't even write about anything politico. except, why is obama's "eloquence" such a liability to mccain? srsly. un. be. lieve. able. and, "5K" for health care? thanks but no thanks. also, no one is "pro-abortion." idiot.

PPS: THIS.
